UNWRAPPED goes hard and heavy on the processes of identifying and buying players within a football club.
Who does what? Who should do what? Is scouting dead? What is the ideal model?
Just some of the questions Rob Gutmann, Paul Senior, Neil Atkinson and John Gibbons attempt to answer on this weeks Unwrapped.
There is a ‘Liverpool’ type player these days and it’s someone that players half decent in a game against us and ermmmmm that’s it! Lovren, Lallana, Lambert, Ings, Bogdan…… Even better if free!
IF FSG can’t be arsed why should we?
Barry’s version of events was he wanted to join Liverpool, but no one from the club got in contact with him during weeks of speculation.
This I beleive.
Valid points made buy more questions then answers appeared, all probables explored but I believe we don’t recruit along the lines of who fits the managers style ie: Balotelli, Mignolet
Valid points made buy more questions then answers appeared, all probables explored but I believe we don’t recruit along the lines of who fits the managers style ie: Balotelli & Mignolet. Mignolet hasn’t the attributes like Reina to pass from the back to get moves flowing, Balo well it’s Balo. No matter what potential you say he has he’ll never suit BR style.
Transfer wise managers may have short term buys to help keep their job but I think FSG buy in similar terms, their not building a side to win the prem lge, their building players for resale value. As long as that is the philosophy we won’t get near the lge or any trophy. Build a side for years and the trophies will come. TAW Rocks
If links are true we could have Ings, Austin, Sturridge, Tevez and Balo as our 5 out and out strikers (everything we’ve heard suggests Lambert and Borini will go and Balo will stay)
I’d take that.
