IN the third installment of our season review shows, Neil Atkinson is joined by Mike Nevin, Paul Cope and Melissa Reddy to reflect on an awful 14/15 for Liverpool Football Club, the future of Brendan Rodgers and the direction of the club under FSG.
SEASON REVIEW Part Three

Fair play that opening gambit by Paul Cope is some of the biggest apologist nonsense I’ve heard so far.
Mourinho can say about next year because he’s won time and again.
Did Benitez ever say i’m only going for the FA Cup?? I don’t think so.
Also didn’t we have the same guys on a previous TAW say that the online snides trying to make out that its the same as an office is not applicable but here we are about making it a context to ‘real life’!? Make up your minds lads.
Sorry Paul.
By the by, he is the manager for another season, so lets hope TAW are right in counselling restraint and that he (BR) repays all your confidences.
Imagine a press conference at the beginning of the season were Rodgers states we’re finally back in our beloved competition that is the Champions League, but I’m not bothered about it and we’re only going to try and win the league. It would have been carnage. No Liverpool at the beginning of this season would have stood for that. We all would have been under the delusion we can win both. Or at least top 4 and Champs League.
And then we don’t finish top 4 and everyone would be saying now, well we could have won the Champions League!
Couldn’t agree more with Mike’s comments on the fan base.
Plenty of fans not enough supporters
Lads,
The reason I for one can’t connect with Rodgers particularly as an Irish fan is his arrogance, he absolutely loves himself and talks himself up at every opportunity, it was Rodgers lauding himself that these “stories” of sleepless nights pacing in the kitchen came form until he had his eureka moment of 3-5-2 which he abandoned after it failed in 1 game, not anywhere else, also his penchant for talking complete and utter bollocks regarding our performances for example describing the 0-0 draw with West Brom as a fantastic performance or telling us how great Joe Allen is every other week like we haven’t been watching the games ourselves. And Ballotelli lit up the Euros playing on his own up front so lets not contibute to this myth that he can’t lead the line on his own all he needs is to be given a run and some confidence and if he still isn’t doing it then lets call him a flop not before.
Jesus Ian. I’m depressed enough already knowing we are faced with seeing the onanistic tosser (yes, it’s tautology) for probably the first 10 games of next season without being reminded why I was depressed in the first place…
How the fuck he’s going to manage our defence without, probably, Lucas and Skrtel (if today’s news is correct) is beyond my imagination.
If you have a heap of medals then fair enough I can tolerate it but Brendans arrogence perhaps is particularly annoying as he uses press conferences to illustrate just how clever he is tactically and some fans seem to just lap it up despite the obvious disconnect between what we hear from him every week and what we see on the pitch.
And yes if he lets Skrtel and Lucas go then it really is the final straw for me those 2 lads give everything and although they are not perfect they are a class above any midfielder or defender brought in by the manager himself barring perhaps Sahko
