ROB GUTMANN gets filthy in the gutter this week with Gareth Roberts, Paul Senior and Melissa Reddy, discussing Nathaniel Clyne’s Liverpool medical, Christian Benteke’s potential move from Aston Villa and the big ball, war chests and the usual media manipulation of football’s transfer ins and outs.

Melissa Reddy says Clyne is like a milner signing. I disagree! I feel he I’d potentially the best right back we’ve had since rob Jones.
I would not pay a fee above 10 for Milne but I would for Clyne.
Why is everybody obsessed with Benteke’ s apparent weakness for running in behind the defence, and not being able to link up with Coutinho, for example?
Sturridge and Origi have more than enough pace to do that, what Benteke would bring is something we haven’t got, power. He will also allow us to play one up front if we wish, and also work as a focal point with a smaller, quicker forward alongside him. The ideal combination for a set of forwards is pace, power, movement and trickery, signing Benteke would help tick all those boxes.
He can head the ball in the net and nobody in r team can do that more than once a season.also his first touch hold up and link up is good scoring record is good and gives defenders a battle. He will give us a good option to go direct when needed and we might score off a corner also he is 24 hasent reachd peak. Only concern is injuries
