Best Tuesday Review yet, really liked the discussion of the formations. Well in boys.
Great show lads , really intelligent insight into how the team is being set up recently highlighting a lack of know how from BR on how to maximise the limited striking talent at the club,regardless of who’s dabbs are are all over the signings and until recently I’ve been with Rogers since he arrived however that’s slowly changing when he’s not used Lambert as an ‘authodox’ striking option,btw Fellas that was brilliant and sums up the inigma which is Ballotelli who is neither a team player nor an individual genius. Ricky showed us his value playing as a pivotal link to bring our best players who happen to be attacking midfielders in and around the box and has the ability to play them in with little 1-2 moves especially when opposition teams are parking the bus. We all know he provides an arial presence but he showed he has more to his game with the 1st goal assist for Coutinho v QPR. Note the team celebration around Lambert it spoke volumes. It’s not too late to maybe salvage 4th spot especially the way Man U are in free fall. if we win all 3 games which is defo achievable using a pivotal striking option then any things possible
And whilst Im talking all things Pivotal Strikers who do their best work in the box, here’s 2 names that won’t cost the earth ; 1. the super experienced Mario Gomez at Fiorentina who’s an mature evergreen player and 2. the young Fowlesque PEREZ at Newcastle who imho is already a star in a bad Newcaatle side who will be very available at the end of the season when the Toon get relegated. Arguably a premier league proven teenager with great movement and by God does he know where the goal is! Also wouldn’t cost a fortune, unlike the last disasterous transfer business we did with that A/Hole Ashley. The lads got bags of natural ability and is an 18 yd box predator a la Fowler.
