Only one really talking point, the man, the legend, the greatest player ever to pull on a Liverpool shirt.
Mr Steven Gerrard.

Brilliant as usual fellas. I do want to make one point though, and one I’ve been thinking about for a while: we can’t replace the first two ages of Gerrard, but you can replace the cultured father figure, and goals aside I do think Liverpool should make a serious play for Xabi Alonso this summer. I only bring it up because I do believe it to be plausible at this moment — not like I’m asking us to buy Pogba or anything — and if any player can bring to the table what Gerrard has to this club over that last couple years it’s Xabi.
*Don’t believe it to be implausible at the moment, mind you.
By the way, my personal favorite Gerrard goal: the 87th minute free-kick to win it at Villa Park and kick off the 07-08 season. Remember watching it with my mates and thinking, “Christ we’ve got the best player in the world on our side, don’t we?” It was just brilliant, like the man himself.
Who says Liverpool fans aren’t hopeless romantics lost in a nostalgic haze?
You’d have to surgically remove the smiles from thousands if Alonso signed with us again.
Absolutely wellied just now but fuck it; Mike nailed it on the romantic city thing. Loads of blue noses round town being mad cynical over the outpouring of emotion and it might be a bit cringeworthy even for some reds. The Gerrard love in is off the back of him being an all time great who’s a scouser; lads, the fact of the matter is if he was a blue he would have been at United before Rooney went you small time beauts. Stitch that hat trick in the season we won all the derbies including Wembley when we had Spearing, Adam and Downing starting most games as well, you lizards.
Rooney’s treason actually gutted Everton, physically and spiritually. Badge-kisser extraordinaire…confirmed their mid-table status. We are heading the same way, but. Torres…Suarez..,Sterling???
Hi Lads just wanted to say a big thanks for having me on your show, was a pleasure except for the stairs! Hope to see you at The Everyman for Beating Berlusconi YNWA!
Was that you with the Istanbul story, mate? Fuckin brilliant!
