Team for tomorrow will be- Migs, Can, Skrtel, Moreno, Marko, Lucas, Hendo, Coutinho, Lallana, Sterling.
Sturridge to come off the bench at some stage…..I imagine at the expense of Lallana.
Just reading a piece in the Echo how training ground snoops are handing our team over to the opposition in instances like this. Next time you go blaming the club for everything, remember you’re to blame too. :)
Grow up Robin!
Haha, I’ve no plans to ‘grow up’ anytime soon but thanks for the concern!
That aside, I just wonder about the merit of it all. Why the need to be the first one to post the team. Nothing wrong with waiting till an hour before kick off. In fact, it’s actually better. I like going to the match then around 2 (as in the case of today) putting the radio on for the team news.
There was no concern.
You must have mistaken my lack of giving a fuck with concern about you.
Can’t believe we had Mr Sampson on tonight. Proper scouse royalty. The fella just gets culture, high and low (low being good), art, music, literature and knows his footy. No disrespect to fever pitch but Awaydays just hit me in the gut and can’t forget it. wonderful. Will give his new one a go.
Oh and Neil..talking about books thanks for the recommendation of “H” is for Hawks, back in a November podcast. Great read.
Enjoyed tonight’s offering. Thought they were Chilled and optimistic about tomorrow. My first game at Anfield when I was 11, was against west ham. always a great game for me this one. F lampard, billy bonds, Alan curbishley, Trevor brooking. We had no-marks like Neal, smith, daglish, Callaghan …fuck me I’ve turned into rob Guttman !!!!
Please be ok Daniel.
Thanks for the pod lads.
Huge game tomorrow. I suppose they all are but it’s important to get the Sturridge return era off to a flyer, even if he only plays 25 mins. I’m jumping ahead here but a win at Bolton and then at Everton, none of which is beyond the realm of possibility, and confidence and momentum will high at a crucial stage of the season.

I suppose how you manage players you want and how you manage the ones you don’t are two different things.
And that excuses him, does it? I’ll warrant that 99% of managers have entire squads that they don’t want. They all seem to cope. I’m not a big fan of Carroll as a player but his comments ring true. But then I would think that, wouldn’t I, given my revulsion at all things Rodgers. We all change out minds, but most of us tell people face to face.
I’ll bet Ferguson has acted similar. We have to get away from this notion that life is all dead fair and everyone’s nice all the time. Simply not the case. The truth is, if you want to be successful at the highest level of any profession you have to be ruthless. I can’t do it and so I’ll never be successful. Be thankful Rodgers can. We had to get rid of Carroll to make room for Sturridge. It was the right decision. The other thing is, these people who look on this as ‘well out of order’ also suffer character flaws. It’s one thing to not want to tread on people but it’s equally bad to let people tread on you. That I don’t allow. Carroll took the piss out of us. I know because I saw him out a few times. For the price we paid, a little professionalism wouldn’t have gone a miss. If one gets the chance to play for LFC and blows it because he puts his lifestyle first or can’t be bothered trying in training (again, a result of his lifestyle) then fuck him. Rodgers plan worked. He went on loan and wasn’t pestering us to come back. Job done!! Consequences were we nearly won the league.
Funny one. Might explain stuff like Sakho’s mysterious injury after walking out of the Derby?
many managers [football or otherwise] have that side to them. Roy Evans always had to Houlliers dirty work…who apparently always went missing when someone was to be dropped or disciplined.
