Can’t believe my ears. Just criticism about Liverpool players were made!
Truth was spoken in this podcast about Lambert & Lovren.
It’s a pity it takes standards to plummet to the depths both are displaying for any TAW member to raise his head above the parapet and tell it how it is.
Still no mention about the shambles that is Coutinho though.
Coutinho will come good, he still has another 4-5 years until he hits his peak. Currently it is too easy to shut him out of games but with more experience he will begin to work thorough it. As has been often stated, I also reckon he will also do a lot better with more movement in front of him, so I am holding out hope that he will link up well with Origi
For me Henderson has to play further up field for the rest of the season, his domination and control is like night and day compared to fires he has to keep putting out left behind by gerrard when they are both deep. Coutinho isn’t playing bad, if you watch him he is taking 2 – 3 touches while on the ball and constantly loosing it trying to make something happen trying to beat a man, that is because he is used to quick release and through balls and with little movement in front of him he has to slow his own game down which is leading to the mistakes you see.
Spot on!
It’s not spot on. Coutinho is losing the ball constantly, even when he’s not trying to create anything. In the last 2 games he lost the ball trying to play the ball 10 and 15 yards backwards.
I liked seeing Rodgers make those two substitutions in the 64th minute. I feel like sometimes he makes substitutions too late in the game, i.e. vs. Basel
Best show in a long time lads, and by far the best opening question. Keep up the good work!
Rob was clearly too infatuated with the Bunnymen as a young man: there’s nothing romantic about Winston Smith’s London. Chandler’s LA, Highsmith’s Italy and Fitzgerald’s (Martin?) Long Island are all great shouts. Me? I’d go for Hemingway’s France in The Garden of Eden or, if I were feeling tawdry, Greene’s Vietnam. As for the footy…..
I’ve no problem with Stevie moving forward but he did so once the game had been won. Henderson and Lallana should be played in advanced positions as they are more likely to score and make goals from open play and press the opposition. If, as was suggested, he chased more when stationed up top, then I’d say he has a lot of questions to answer, because he’s looked really slow and laboured in the deep position. As for Glen Johnson, yes you’re right, but when does he ever deliver a good final ball? He gets into great positions and does what? He has the potential to improve the side, he’s a very good footballer, but his decision-making stinks a lot of the time.
