CHARLIE ADAM’S HOLLYWOOD BALLS
As the The Anfield Wrap turns 30, Neil, Rob, Kristian, Andy and Jim are joined by Mike Nevin, New Brighton FC manager Sean Rogers, Peter Hooton, Paul Salt and The Times of London’s very own Tony Evans.
The lads chew the fat on Brighton, Wembley, Cardiff, The Sunday Sun, Andy Carroll, a bit too much Spurs love, Charlie Adam’s pie arse and Hollywood balls and even a little bit of Istvan Kozma

great pod; terrible sanwiches.
Ok, all these points were discussed on the podcast but surely now is the time we need to go on this elusive run in the league. Everything points to the fact we could. Obviously there’s the cups but Suarez, Gerrard & Carroll playing together really excites me (not sexually). A good point was made on the podcast about the angle of the crosses Carroll seems to like. We saw Gerrard provide those yesterday and against Newcastle. Suarez looks better dropping off too. The confidence finally seems to be growing all over the pitch. We’ve got the squad to do it and the fixtures to do it. Again, as discussed, the other challengers seem to be lacking something. If we can beat Cardiff, reach the FA cup final and finish fourth not only will i win shit loads of cash but it’s gonna be a great end to an indifferent season and a happy and optimistic summer. I still think we’ll achieve the above. The tension of every upcoming game is almost too much to bare at the minute. I agree it feels like 2001 again.
Having said all that, if we draw against Wigan at Anfield in March I’m seriously gonna burn my son’s Liverpool shirt.
Great listen, but I think the lads are missing the point about the run-in. We haven’t had a problem against the ‘better’ teams this season, it’s being the ‘lesser’ teams we’ve struggled against and the majority of our remaining games are against those teams. Hopefully the Brighton game is the opening of the floodgates and we can go on a run where our chance conversion rate increases dramatically and if that happens, I’d be very confident of forth place.
Thanks for the pod; best part about Monday.
I have a quick, stupid question: can us yank fans order those gigantic flags w/ Paisley, Kenny, et al. on them? Or when I finally make the pilgrimage to Anfield, is there a store at which I can order one / pick one up?
YNWA.
Justice for the 96
So have News International deliberately decided to launch the Sun on Sunday on the same day Liverpool FC are playing in the Carling cup final?
Will they be handing out free copies around the ground?
Have they even considered the derision this will cause to every decent Football fan out there not just on Merseyside?
Justice for the 96 will be heard at the game and hopefully numerous songs calling for a boycott of the Sun on Sunday as well as the existing on the weekday addition. This is either a very stupid day to decide to launch the paper or a deliberate and calculated attempt for publicity. If they have not even thought this through they are more detached from reality and especially the hurt that is still felt on Merseyside. Let’s hope no Liverpool player is stupid enough to do a pre-match interview with this newspaper or it could well be the last time he is seen in a Liverpool shirt.
This is a shameful action by an organisation that would be wise not to try and advertise this so called newspaper in or around the match.
There will also be a memorial for Mike Dye, 44 the Welsh fan killed inside Wembley shortly before last Year’s England v Wales match. RIP Mike Dye.
CELTIC FANS IN SOLIDARITY WITH JUSTICE FOR THE 96. YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE
Riise?
Shakes head sadly.
absolutely disgraceful that Biscan hasn’t made it into the non-uk and Ireland team!! the greatest multi position cameo player of all time without doubt.
